Many of you should recognize the opening riff of the Chicago classic, “25 or 6 to 4”:
Fantastic opening; amazing song.
So I was on a road trip a ways back, listening to Led Zeppelin I in its entirety for the first time in way too long. Pay attention to 2:22 of this:
One of these things is sorta like the other. And by sorta, I mean in fact EXACTLY like the other. So which came first?
As it turns out, Chicago (or Chicago II as superfans and Wikipedia know) was released in January, 1970. And Led Zeppelin I? January…….1969.
Interesting.
…
And of course, most of you 90’s kids probably recognize an eerily similar riff from those kids from Greenday:
I know for a fact that anyone who tried to learn the guitar in the 90’s attempted to play this song at least once.
Thanks for reading guys…more posts to come.
